An evocative abstract painting on board using muted, dripped, dragged with rags and precisely brushed emulsion and gloss paints during a windy, damp, beautiful plein air residency (working outdoors under a marquee). This painting aims to convey something of the smell of the rain on the breeze, the warmth of the day despite the wind and drizzle, and the joy of working out in the elements with materials and techniques that I love.
