A statement piece, this energetic painting was inspired by a walk on a heath and experiencing vast storm clouds rushing towards me. Two subtley different shades of red jostle for attention pitched against gestural brushstrokes and drip-painting in greys and rusts that draw your eye around the surface. Several paintings have followed which explore variations on the format and technique within Reds Storm.
