Oracular is a striking work in shades of black and white on raw OSB boards (2 boards combine to make the whole painting) and speaks directly to the conundrum that while feeling driven to introduce more overt storytelling through my art, I wishes the work to resonate (or not) with the viewer on their own terms, and not give too much away. It's a common dilemma for artists’ driven to make art for art’s sake – how directive should be regarding the interpretation of your work, through titles for example?
